Frank’s Cucina Cooking Classes

Food, food and more wonderful gorgeous food. Thinking about it, preparing it and eating it is one of the most wonderful pleasures in life! If your passion is Italian food, join me in my kitchen to our dining table experience. We are dedicated to improving your cooking skills. You will practice with us to increase your knowledge as well as develop your expertise.

Invest in yourself ~ you’re worth it.

Cooking Class: The plates you will learn will be the most traditional, inspired directly from my Grandmother’s hands and heart (as well as others who have created my cooking skills).

A written recipe (provided) only provides so much, and then you have to see it being made, smell it, feel it and taste it.

At Frank’s Cucina we look at “What-Why-How” of a dish.

What, you are doing.

Why, use these particular ingredients, this equipment, execute the technique using this method.

How, to make the recipe as a professional Italian chef makes it, whether it is home-style (casalinga-style) or restaurant-style.

How, to present the dish so it entices you…we instruct you in the Italian philosophy of food and how Italians think about their ingredients, their cooking, and their food. Once you understand this, re-creating these dishes with Italian flavors and textures back in your kitchen is simple.

Examples of some classes

Italian Bread –

You will learn to make the Artisan Italian bread just as they do in Italy. You will bring a loaf home to share with family. A fantastic Artisan Foccaccia that we will make Panini sandwiches and others

Fresh Pasta - Make our traditional homemade pasta. You prepare the dough and produce different shaped pasta. Once made, you will make 3 specialty sauces to try with your pasta.

Fresh Ravioli - You will prepare the dough and make 2 different fillings then produce your own style of Ravioli.

Grains – working with risotto, polenta and farro, the classic whole grain dishes

Desert- we cannot miss the sweet part of the Italian tradition…do you think the same?  The list can be so tempting.

Class Details The class size allows a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 participants. For encapsulated one-day courses. Each class is complete as offered. Will do offer a special discount for those who sign up for a series of classes. Each class is a total “hands on” experience. Classes will be –

Hello, I am a Facebook friend of yours and was interested in coming to your “Cucina”. My boyfriend and I are “foodies” and also have a home in Chatham on Cape Cod. We would like to arrange an evening with some of our Cape friends, but not sure where you are located or how to make a reservation, or if you take reservations! Please advise, it looks very festive and interesting! Thank you, Connie

    Hi Frank,
Haven’t made it to a dinner yet but have been a Facebook friend for a long while now. I might be interested in the cooking class but wondering about the fee and whether you are starting soon or after the summer.
I am a teacher and about to get out for the summer so I would love to do it this summer and could do morning or evening. Evenings during the school year are a possibility but not as easy to find the energy for.
Please let me know fee structure and timeline whenever you have a chance.
    Grazie.

Thanks. I’ll keep an eye out for when it’s actually happening.
